After Party Draws Crowds to ‘Club Qu:ks!lver’
[September 19th, 2007 - Hong Kong] In celebration of the grand opening of the newest QUIKSILVER store in Causeway Bay, local Rock Queen - Josie Ho and her band rocked the stage for fans and customers gathering outside the new Quiksilver store on Wednesday September 19th, 2007. After Josie finished her set and the doors of the QUIKSILVER store opened, an after-party was hosted at ‘Club Qu:ks!lver’, previously known as the QUIKSILVER store on Pak Sha Road. Supermodel Galie and Carl Ng joined as guest models, showcasing the latest QUIKSILVER and ROXY 2007 Fall/Winter collections.
Josie (aka Ho Chiu) released her second album ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ earlier this year in Hong Kong. The popularity of Josie’s album was evident among the hordes of eager fans waiting to see her stage performance in front of the new QUIKSILVER store. Josie Ho sparked off the store opening with an energetic live set and strong soul shaking tunes.
The show was followed by a fashion show and an after-party at the ex-QUIKSILVER shop venue, renamed and refurnished as ‘Club Qu:ks!lver’ for the occasion. DJ Daryll out of Hong Kong set the rhythm for the night, with house and dance music thumping through the dance floor. Many celebrities and socialites showed up for this energetic party, include Josie and friends, Yan Ng, Lydia Tong, Kiki Lam, Krusty, Isabella Kau and Patrick Leong, Phoebus Chan, Oscar, Jimmy(DJ), Gordon, Cheung Pak Man, Freeze and Sze Lam.
QUIKSILVER is the leading board sports inspired fashion apparel brand across the globe, and is also a trend setter in terms of event promotion and artist support. The label newly launched the 2007 Fall/Winter collection during the after party, with local top models Carl Ng and Galie leading the catwalk in the latest QUIKSILVER and ROXY apparel. Following in fashion, the crew of local and international models displayed Quiksilver’s limited edition products from the Arto Saari Limited Edition Collection, City Skater Series, and Quiksilver Culture Series from designer Takashi Kumagai. The Roxy ladies turned the heads of both guys and girls alike, with the latest Roxy apparel for the Fall/Winter season, including a new snow series line, creative denim pieces, and stylish work overalls.
It was a wild party night where guests enjoyed music, dance and free flow of drinks all night long at club Qu:ks!lver – for those Quiksilver guys and Roxy girls who missed out, you’ll have to wait for the next party from Quiksilver!!!
